INTERNATIONAL RACES IN TURKEY - 2024

The Jockey Club of Turkey has been organizing 7 International Races in Istanbul Veliefendi Racetrack (7 Int. Races). International races in İstanbul will be organized as an International Racing Festival in two consecutive days at the first weekend in September starting from the year 2008.

The International Bosphorus Cup G3 and the International Topkapi Trophy G2 earned black type status in 2003 and then, they have been promoted to Part I of the International Cataloguing Standards Book in the year 2009. In addition to Part I races, the International Istanbul Trophy G3 has been promoted to the Part I of the International Cataloguing Standards Book in the year 2013.

The International France Galop FRBC Anatolia Trophy G2 and The International QUEEN ELIZABETH II. CUP G3 have been placed at Part II of the International Cataloguing Standards Book.

SOME IMPORTANT NOTICES

* Please note that the above Turkish International Races are now open to geldings, with the exception of the Istanbul Trophy (Fillies and Mares only).

All payments due on the dates shown in the race conditions must be paid independently and on time. Please consider that there are no forfeit stages for all International Races and connections wishing their horse to remain engaged in the race must not fail to pay the entry, confirmation of entry and declaration fees as instructed. Otherwise, the horse shall be regarded as not engaged in the race any more, and payments shall not be reimbursed.

If any horse that is entered at the entry stage, but then drops out at the confirmation of entry stage, whether by design or by accident, can again be made eligible, if desired, by paying the supplementary fee at the supplementary stage.

SUPPLEMENTARY STAGES

(1) Supplementary Stage for Entry : : If the first entry stage is missed, the entry can be made by paying the declaration to run fee and an additional forfeit fee of entry, equal to 5% of the winner’s prize of the relevant race, by 02 September 2024 (05:00 pm by Turkish time)

(2) Supplementary Stage for the Confirmation of Entry :If a horse is entered to a race at the entry stage, but the confirmation of entry is not made, the horse can not run. However, at the declaration stage, if the fee of declaration to run is paid and in addition to that, a forfeit fee equal to 5 times of the confirmation of entry fee is also paid by 02 September 2024 (05:00 pm by Turkish time), the horse becomes eligible to run.
