Pan River Wins at Meydan

2008 Gazi Derby winner Pan River won his first race at the new Dubai Meydan Racecourse, ran on Thursday, February 11.

Pan River won the Gulf News Broadcasting Handicap race on 1800m turf with Turkish jockey Selim Kaya with the timing 1.51.87. Lucky Find was the runner-up where Shaweel and Spring of Fame came 3rd and 4th respectively. 

Total purse of the race was 175.000$ and the 1st prize was 105.000$.

With his triumphant win Pan River became the fourth Turkish Thoroughbred that won at Dubai. The first win came with Ribella in 2005 in the Cape Verdi Stakes, the second winner was Sabırlı in DNRD Cup and the third one Win River Win in Godolphin Mile race.
