Storm (TUR) Seals Gazi Derby Victory with Grandstand Finish
Unaccounted For daughter Mystical Storm (Tur) sealed the victory on the
Turkish racing history winning the 84th Gazi derby with her
Jockey Selim Kaya by 2:29:80 leaving Akdeniz Atesi (Tur) 1 length behind
her
Mr. Ziya Semenoglu bred
Mystical Storm won 8 of her 13 starts including The Turkish 1000
Guineas G1 and Turkish Oaks G1 on 16 May 2010 and proved to
be the mare of the year becoming a strong candidate to win the Turkish
Triple Crown which consists of Turkish Guineas or Oaks, Gazi Derby and
The Turkish St. Leger (Ankara Kosusu G1) to be run on 25th
September 2010 on 2800 meters turf at Ankara75th Year
Racecourse.
At the cup ceremony
after the race, the victorious owner, trainer and jockey received
their Cup and plates from Mr. Abdullah Gul , The President of The
Republic of Turkey.
