Topor, owned by İlyas İlbey, representing our country in Dubai had his first start at the Marju run on Thursday, January 17, 2008 at Nad Al Sheba Hippodrome. The race was run in sand due to heavy rain and was broadcasted live at TJK TV. Halis Karataş was the jockey.

Happy Runner (BRE), with his jockey J. A. Da Silva, who was allowed to run to the change of track, won the 1500 meter race with 1.31.22, in which Topor could not make it to the signboard.  

Total prize money of the stakes was 120,000 $ and the 1^st place received 72,000$, the 2^nd received 24,000 $, the 3^rd received 7200$ and the 4^th received 3600$.
