Final Dance is the Winner of 67th 2000 Guineas 2000 Guineas (G1), which is considered as one of the most important rehearsals before the Gazi Derby for 3-year-old colts, was held on Sunday, 15 May at the Veliefendi Racecourse.
Final Dance (Declaration Of War - Finnie Mac Cool / Giant's Causeway) owned by Nimet Arif Kurtel won the race with his jockey Halis Karataş. The bay colt, bred by Moz. Org. San. Tic. A.Ş and trained by Batuhan Ay got his 3rd Group victory out of 4 victories of his racing career at the 2000 Guineas.

The race was held on turf track on 1600 meters with the participation of 16 colts. Sigoş (Toruk Macto - Crafty Spell / Mastercraftsman) finished the race as second with his jockey Gökhan Kocakaya and followed by Final Dance’s stablemate Bold Sea Rover (Torok - Seacleef / A.P.Indy) with Akın Sözen, Zorro (Torok - Barbie Baby / Sri Pekan) with Hışman Çizik and Grasyas (Lion Heart - White Lady / Okawango) with Emrah Sincan.
Finish time for the winner was 1.35.39 and the margins were 3,5 Length – 1,5 Length – Neck – 1,5 Length.
Serdal Adalı, President of our Club presented the trophy to Nimet Arif Kurtel, the winning owner.
Muammer Kitapçı, former president of our Club presented a plate to Batuhan Ay, the winning trainer.
Ömer Faruk Girgin, former president of our Club, presented a plate to Halis Karataş, the winning jockey.
Ahmet Özbelge, General Secretary of our Club; Adil Mert Kaya, Treasurer Board Member; Hakan Yücetürk, Gülnur Gülerce and Tuğban İzzet Aksoy and Yüksel Göktürk, Executive Board Members of our Club also attended the prize giving ceremony of the race. |
