International Racing Festival Ends

International Racing Festival was held on September 7-8, 2013 at Veliefendi Racecourse in Istanbul. 
PRODUCER won the Topkapi Trophy, LOST IN THE MOMENT became victorious at the Bosphorus Cup while the Malazgirt Trophy’s winner was NO PROBLEM AL MAURY.

PRODUCER Victorious in the Topkapi Trophy

On September 8th, PRODUCER (Dutch Art – River Saint / Irish River), owned by J.Palmer-Brown, won Topkapi Trophy (G2) with its jockey Richard Hughes. The finish time for PRODUCER was 1.35.33.

The winner was awarded with 270.000 Euro. Hazel Lawrence & Graham Doyle’s CHIL THE KITE (Notnowcato-Copy-Cat/Lion Cavern) came second, Alaettin Akkoç’s WHITE RAM (Sri Pekan-Endless Freedom/Zilzal) came third, and Cengiz Taşkıran’s ASTORYA (Sri Pekan-Melita/Tagula) came fourth at the race with the margins of Head-Neck-2 ½ L.

The trophy was presented to Mr. Robin Blunt, on behalf of the owners by Mr. Vedat Mirmahmutoğulları, Undersecretary of Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock, also the President of the Board of High Stewards.

Mr. Mehmet Halis Bilden, General Manager of TİGEM, presented a plate to Mr. Gary Hotfield on behalf of trainer.

Jockey Richard Hughes received his plate from Mr. Erdal Celal Sumaytaoğlu, Counselling and Inspection President of the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock and Deputy President of Board of High Stewards.

Mr. Serdal Adalı, President of the Jockey Club of Turkey, Dr. Ender Aydıner, Treasurer Member of the Jockey Club of Turkey, Mr. Can N. Güven, Board Member of Jockey Club of Turkey also attended to the prize giving ceremony of Topkapi Trophy which was held on Honorary Grandstand.

LOST IN THE MOMENT won the Bosphorus Cup

Godolphin’s LOST IN THE MOMENT (Danehill Dancer – Streetcar / In The Wings) became victorious at Bosphorus Cup with a finish time of 2.28.87 with his jockey Mickael Barzalona and received the first prize of 180.000 Euro.

The race was held on 2400 meters on turf track with the participation of 3yo+ thoroughbreds. Ali Saeed’s AMBIVALENT (Authorized-Darrery/Darshaan) came second, Stall Nizza’s NYMPHEA (Dylan Thomas-Neele/Peintre Celebre) came third and Talip Öztürk’s TALIP HAN (Oratorio-Idle Rich/Sky Classic) came fourth. Margins were 1 Length–Nose-Neck.

Mr. Vedat Mirmahmutoğulları, the Undersecretary of Ministry of the Food, Agriculture and Livestock also the President of the Board of High Stewards, presented a cup to trainer Mr. Saeed Bin Surooor, on behalf of Godolphin Racing.

Trainer Mr. Saeed Bin Suroor received his plate from Mr. Behçet Homurlu, Member of Board of High Stewards and Former President of Jockey Club of Turkey.

NO PROBLEM AL MAURY Won the President of UAE Cup International Malazgirt Trophy

President of UAE Cup International Malazgirt Trophy’s was NO PROBLEM AL MAURY (Dormane – Nemosie Al Maury /Kesberoy) with a finish time of 1.45.60, with his jockey Jean Bernard Eyquem. NO PROBLEM AL MAURY received 65.000 € Euro as first prize.

The race was held on 1600 meters on turf track with the participation of three years old or older purebred Arabians. Nurbiye Gülerce’s DARFUR (Bilgin – Malike.17 /Tolga) came second, Remazan Kaya’s ALMAATA (Caş-Necme.32/Çeliker) came third, and Turhan Çakar’s KENANACO (Kaizbert-Leylo/Aknasip) was fourth at President of UAE Cup International Malazgirt Trophy.

The trophy was presented to the owner Mrs. Renee Laure Koch by Mr. Said Abdullah Al Shamsi, Ambassador of United Arab Emirates,

Mr. Said Abdullah Al Shamsi also presented their plates to the winning trainer François Bernard and the winning jockey Jean Bernard Eyquem.
