EL CONQUERADOR wins Horse Racing Ireland Stakes

Horse Racing Ireland Stakes was held on 1600 meters on turf track with the participation of three years old thoroughbreds. EL CONQUERADOR (Okawango – Adhaaba / Dayjur) owned by Murat Kadaifçioğlu won the race with its jockey Gokhan Kocakaya with a finish time of 1.36.41. 

Barış Kaya’s MARVELOUS IRON (Bernstein-Princess Aries/Royal Anthem) finished the race as second,  Baran D. Cemiloğlu’s SARILAR RUNNER (Okawango-Sarılar Güzeli/Mujtahid) and Nevzat Seyok’s DIVINE RIVER (Divine Light-Wanganui River/Unfuwain) finished as fourth.

The cup was presented to Mr. Murat Kadaifçioğlu, owner of El Conquerador by Mr. Kenneth Thompson, Ambassador of Ireland.

 

Mrs. Elaine Hatton, General Manager of Irish Thoroughbred Marketing, presented a plate to the winning trainer Mr. Onur Doğan.

Jockey Gokhan Kocakaya took his prize from Soledad Thompson, wife of Ambassador of Ireland.

ART WOMEN wins Coolmore Trophy

ART WOMEN (Argeaus – Arsol / Daggers Drawn) owned by İ. Kazım Kastar won the Coolmore Trophy with its apprentice Zeki Ocak with a finish time of 1.13.49.

The race was held on 1200 meters on turf track. MY SONG (Lion Heart-Mybelle/Fair Grounds) came second, CANIS MAJORIS (Ortak-Chipie/Always A Classic) third and BRAVE SON (Luxor-Nazar/Lear White) fourth among 6 thoroughbreds of 2 years old.

Mr. Joe Hernon, the Manager of Coolmore presented a cup to Osman Hattat, General Secretary of the Jockey Club of Turkey, on behalf of the winning owner.

Mr. Eddie Fitzpatrick, Manager of Coolmore Stable, presented their plates to winning trainer Mr. Yüksel Taluk and winning apprentice Zeki Ocak.

Mr. Erdal Celal Sumaytaoğlu, Counselling and Inspection President of the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock and Deputy President of Board of High Stewards, Mr. Serdal Adalı, President of the Jockey Club of Turkey and Mr. Can N. SAVURLU wins Macau Trophy

SAVURLU (Clodovil – Kamalame / Souvenir Copy) won the Macau with its jockey Gökhan Kocakaya with a finish time of 1.10.57.

EMİRŞAH (Always A Classic-Umutlu/Strike The Gold) was second, YENİSEİ (Kaneko-Cihanyandı Lütfiye/Kılıçaslan) was third, and HOP HOP (Last Commander-Fast Spartan/Maria’s Mon) was fourth at the Macau trophy, held on 1200-meters on turf track with the participation of three years old thoroughbred colts and fillies.

The prize was presented to the Mr. Faruk Kavak, on behalf of owner, by Mr. Graham Michael Loch, Racing Director of Macau Jockey Club.

Dr. Ender Aydıner, Treasurer Member of Jockey Club of Turkey; Mr. Can N. Güven, Board Member of Jockey Club of Turkey; and Mr. Celalettin Alkan, Permanent Member of Jockey Club of Turkey, also attended to the prize giving ceremony.

The prize was presented to the Mr. Faruk Kavak, on behalf of owner, by Mr. Graham Michael Loch, Racing Director of Macau Jockey Club.

Mr. Graham Michael Loch also presented a prize to Mr. Faruk Kavak, on behalf of trainer. Mrs. Marie May, Manager of Racing and International Relations of Macau Jockey Club, gave a plate to jockey Gökhan Kocakaya.

OCEAN SOUND wins FEGENTRI World Championship Gentlemen Ladies Riders Race

OCEAN SOUND won the 2nd Leg of FEGENTRI World Championship Gentlemen Ladies Riders Race in Turkey with French rider Barbara Guenet with a finish time of 1.38.62.

In the race, which was held with the participation of Turkish and foreign lady riders, CURE NOTICE (Sri Pekan-Sarenne/Desert Sun) came second with the Norwegian rider Silja Storen, FLY WINGS (Strike The Gold-Ms. Celine/Prince of Birds) came third with the Irish rider Lisa O’Neill and MY PRINCESS (Bin Ajwaad-Kraliçe Kızı/Banko) came fourth with the German rider Silke Brüggemann.

Mrs. Nathalie Belinguier, the President of FEGENTRI presented the trophy to the winning rider Barbara Guenet. Mrs. Nathalie Belinguier also presented a gift to Mr. S. Selman Taşbek, Permanent Member of Jockey Club of Turkey, to commemorate the day.

BEATRICE victorious in the International Istanbul Trophy

BEATRICE (Dr Fong – Brangane / Anita’s Prince) owned by Alexandre Pereira won The International Istanbul Trophy, with its jockey Fabrice Veron with a finish time of 1.36.28. 

Sultan Ali’s ARSAADI (Dubawi-Arsad/Cape Cross) came second, Gülnur Gülerce’s WILLPOWER (Victory Gallop-Free Trade/Shareef Dancer) came third, and Stall Zaster’s LADY JACAMIRA (Lord of England-Latley/Sillery) came fourth at the race with a first prize of 115.000 €.

The cup was presented to Mrs. Valerie Bunting, on behalf of the winning owner by Mr. Serdal Adalı, President of Jockey Club of Turkey. Mr. Can N. Güven, Board Member of Jockey Club of Turkey, also attended to the ceremony.

GHARRA'A won the IFAHR Trophy

GHARRA’A (Matador – Wadha Al Thania/Asad Saif) owned by Mohammed Al Nujaifi won The International Federation of Arabian Horse Racing Authorities (IFAHR) Race with its jockey Fabrice Veron with a finish time of 2.24.92.

The first prize of the race was 45.000 €. KASTAL (Özgünhan-Ebrucan/Birader) came second, YOL BULAN (Özgünhan-Ebrucan/Birader) third, and YÜREKKAYA (Bilgin-Gözdenur/Genuine Ruler) fourth at the race held on 2100 meters on polytrack surface.

The cup was presented to Mr. Mohammed Al Nujaifi by Mr. Vedat Mirmahmutoğulları, Undersecretary of Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock.

Mr. Ziya Adalar, Board Member of IFAHR, presented a plate to Mrs. Valerie Bunting, on behalf of winning trainer.

A plate was presented to winning jockey Fabrice Veron by Mr. Mehmet Halis Bilden, General Manager of TİGEM.

MY SECRET won the KRA Trophy

MY SECRET (Zanjero – Alize / Lord Carson) won KRA Trophy with its jockey Halis Karataş with finish a finish time of 1.32.10. The race was held on 1500-m. on polytrack with the participation of three years old thoroughbreds.

In the race, ALWAYS MARJU (Mehmet Bora-Loves Time/Mountain Cat) came second, LADY DRAMALI (Ocean Crest-Drama Güzeli/College Chapel) came third, and MARA DESPINA (Oratorio-Dance To The Band/Kingmambo) came fourth.

The prize was presented to Mr. Umur Tamer, Former President of Jockey Club of Turkey, on behalf of the winning owner, by Mr. Jong Dae Lee, Racing Director of KRA. Mr. Yong Hyun Hong also presented their prizes to the winning trainer Mr. Mertkan Kantarmacı and winning jockey Halis Karataş.

Mr. Yong Hyun Hong presented a homemade gift to Mr. Serdal Adalı, President of Jockey Club of Turkey, to commemorate the day.

DANADANA victorious in the International France Galop / FRBC Anatolian Trophy

DANADANA (Dubawi-Zeeba/Barathea) owned by Sheikh Mohammed Obaid Al Maktoum, won International France Galop / FRBC Anatolian Trophy won International France Galop / FRBC Anatolian Trophy with its jockey Andrea Atzeni with a finish time of 2.03.79. 

At the race with the first prize of 115.000 €; İsmet Çakmakoğlu’s KING DROK (West By West – Ms Hero/Sea Hero) came second with its jockey Fuat Çakar, Baran D. Cemiloğlu’s ÇAKAL CARLOS (Artie Schiller – Divine Diva/Theatrical) came third with its jockey Ahmet Çelik; and Oğuz Yalçın’s STEP BY STEP (Mountain Cat – Commital/Chief’s Crown)  came fourth with its jockey Gökhan Kocakaya.

Mr. Jean-Pierre Derouxbaix, Member of FRBC, presented the trophy to Mr. Matthew Cumani, on behalf of the winning owner.

Mrs. Capucine Houel, Executive Director of FRBC, presented the trophies to Mr. Matthew Cumani, on behalf of winning trainer and winning jockey Andrea Atzeni.

AZURRA won the Morocco Sorec Stakes

AZURRA (Mountain Cat – Tajarib / Last Tycoon) won Morocco Sorec Stakes with its jockey Özcan Yıldırım with a finish time of 1.12.44. The race was held on 1200-meters on turf track with the pariticipation of two years old thoroughbreds.

EL AZRA (Yonaguska-Aypike/Mujtahid)  finished the race as second,  WINŞAH (Win River Win-Şahmeral/Sun Music) finished as third, and LEYDİBORS (Bors-Lady Burnelle/Native Procida) finished as fourth.

Mr. Yasser Ghaleb, Finance Director of SOREC presented a cup to Mr. Gür Özbelge, Permanent Member of Jockey Club of Turkey, on behalf of the winning owner.

Mr. Yasser Ghaleb, also presented their plates to the winning trainer Mr. Ekrem Şengel and winning jockey Özcan Yıldırım.

BABAYİĞİT won FEGENTRI World Championship Gentlemen Ladies Riders Race

BABAYİĞİT (Royal Abjar – Prima Facie / Primo Dominie) won the 1st Leg of FEGENTRI World Champinoship Gentlemen Ladies Riders Race, with its German rider Silke Brüggemann with a finish time of 1.36.03.

In the race, which was held with the participation of Turkish and foreign lady riders, PENNYS SONG (Songandaprayer-Penny’s Gold/Kingmambo) came second with the Swiss rider Catherine Burri, LEGION DHONNEUR (Bin Ajwaad-Broken Heart/King Efe) came third with the Austrian rider Manuela Slamanig , and GOLDEN WEAPON (Kaneko-Fezleke/Indian Ridge) came fourth with the Irish rider Lisa O’Neill.

After the race, Mr. Vedat Mirmahmutoğulları, Undersecretary of Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock, presented a plate and bouquet to the winning jockey Silke Brüggemann.
