TOORMORE Is the Winner of Topkapi Trophy

TOORMORE (Arakan - Danetime Out / Danetime), owned by Godolphin Racing and trained by Mr. Richard Hannon, won the Topkapi Trophy (G2) with his jockey James Doyle on 6^th September 2015. The finish time for TOORMORE, was 1.35.71.

Topkapi Trophy, one of the most prestigious international races of the festival in Istanbul, was held on one mile turf. 7 thoroughbreds 3 years old and up participated in the race and the winner was awarded with 270.000 Euro. Mrs. Deniz Kurtel’s PERFECT WARRIOR (Perfect Storm-Star Flicker/Woodman) came second and followed by Mrs. Hulya Yildirim’s YILDIRIMBEY (Sabirli-Dicos/Sun Music) and another Richard Hannon-trained thoroughbred SHIFTING POWER (Compton Place-Profit Alert/Alzao). The trophy was presented to Mr. Jonathan Mills, on behalf of Godolphin Racing, the winning horse owner, by Dr. Nihat Pakdil, Undersecretary of Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock and President of Board of High Stewards.

Mr. Necati Demirkol, General Secretary of Jockey Club of Turkey, presented a plate to winning trainer Mr. Richard Hannon.

Mr. Sadettin Atig, Board Member of Jockey Club of Turkey, presented a plate to winning jockey James Doyle.

Mr. Yasin Kadri Ekinci, President of Jockey Club of Turkey and Mr. Behcet Homurlu, Member of Board of High Stewards and Former President of Jockey Club of Turkey, also attended to the cup ceremony which was held at the Winner Circle area.
