GRAYSTORM Is the Winner of 78^th Caldiran Stakes

78^th of the Caldiran Stakes (G1) was held on 16^th October at Istanbul Veliefendi Racecourse. 2 years old grey colt GRAYSTORM (Luxor -Setryn / Strike The Gold) owned by Mr. Ahmet Guzelocak and trained by Mr. Anil Karabiyik, won the Caldiran Stakes (G1) with his jockey Ahmet Celik and with a finish time of 1.37.04.

12 colts and 1 filly participated in the race, which was held on 1600 meters on turf track. With his success at Caldiran Stakes, GRAYSTORM obtained his 2^nd victory at the 6^th start of his racing career.

Mr. Gokhan Alveroglu’s RADYOCU (Sri Pekan-Cabarette/Mujtahid) came second with jockey Ozcan Yildirim and followed by Ms. Deniz Kurtel’s ILDIR BEYİ (Victory Gallop-Nazluş/Eagle Eyed) with Halis Karataş and Mr. Adem Erdolek’s KARALTI (Victory Gallop-Halaak/Harlan’s Holiday) with Mehmet Kaya.

The prize money for the winner was 500.000 TL and the margins were as follows: 1 Length-3 L.-2 L.

Mr. Necati Demirkol, General Secretary of the Jockey Club of Turkey, presented the cup to winning owner Mr. Ahmet Guzelocak while winning trainer Mr. Anil Karabiyik, received his plate from Mr. Turgut H. Alakus, Treasurer Member of Jockey Club of Turkey. Mr. Ercan Emre, Permanent Member of Jockey Club of Turkey, presented the plate to jockey Ahmet Celik.

Permanent Members of Jockey Club of Turkey also attended to the cup ceremony which was held at Honorary Grandstand.
