Istanbul Trophy

3 yo bay filly, PROMISING RUN (Hard Spun -Aviacion / Know Haights) of Godolphin trained by Saeed Bin Suroor finished International Istanbul Trophy (G3) in first place with its jockey Mickael Barzalona on 3rd September.

International Istanbul Trophy, one of the most exciting races of the first day of the festival, was held on 1600 m on turf track with 195.500 € as the total prize and 115.000 € as the winning prize.

WILLPOWER (Victory Gallop - Free Trade / Shareef Dancer) owned by Gülerce finished the race as second with Halis Karataş, and followed by its stablemate TATVAN İNCİSİ (Scarface - Hanımkız / Always A Classic) with Selim Kaya. HARD BABY (Unaccounted For - Uni Baby / Flying Spur) came fourth with its jockey Özcan Yıldırım.

The finish time for the winner was 1.34.86 while the margins were ½ L – 3 L – 5 L.

Mr. Ömer Faruk Girgin, former President of TJK presented the trophy to Saeed Bin Suroor on behalf of the winning owner.

Saeed Bin Suroor received a plate from Mr. H. Turgut Alakuş, Secretary General of TJK and Mickael Barzalona received his plate from Mr. Nisso Benhasson, Supervisory Board Member of TJK.

Mr. Çetin Özdemir, Istanbul Racecourse Manager also participated in the ceremony.
