MOVE UP Wins International Bosphorus Cup

International Bosphorus Cup (G2), which is a “black – type” race since 2003 was held on 4th September at Istanbul Veliefendi Racecourse.

MOVE UP (Dubawi - Rosinka / Soviet Star) of Godolphin trained by Saeed Bin Suroor won the International Bosphorus Cup with Mickael Barzalona, which staged a breath taking challenge on the last straight.

Bosphorus Cup, the longest distance International Race of the festival was held on 2400 m on turf with a total prize of 306.000 € and a first prize of 180.000 €. 7 thoroughbreds of 3 yo and upwards participated in the race. FLY BY ME (Karabeyhan - Lady Fi / Among Men) finished race as second with Uğur Polat, ELBERETH (Mount Nelson - Masandra / Desert Prince) came third with Oisin Murphy and BLAZE TO WIN (Win River Win - Lovely Blaze / Sri Pekan) champion of the 2014’s Gazi Derby finished the race in fourth place.

The finish time for MOVE UP was 2.32.46  while the margins were 2 L – 1 L - ½ L. 

 

Mr. Yasin Kadri Ekinci, President of TJK presented a trophy to Saeed Bin Suroor on behalf of the winning trainer.

Mr. Ömer Faruk Girgin, former President of TJK presented a plate to the winning trainer, Saeed Bin Suroor. Mickael Barzalona received his plate from Mr. Behçet Homurlu, former President of TJK and Member of Board of High Stewards.

Mr. Turgut Alakuş, Secretary General of TJK and his wife Mrs. Nilgün Alakuş also joined the ceremony.
