Super Saver’s Daughter Letruska Maintains Its Victory Series with G1 Personal Ensign Stakes

Personal Ensign Stakes, being one of the most important races of the season in USA and named after the undefeatable champion mare Personal Ensign, was held on Saturday, 28 August at Saratoga.

The race was broadcasted live on TJK TV and Tay TV. Jockey Club of Turkey’s stallion Letruska (Super Saver - Magic Appeal / Successful Appeal) won the race with her jockey Irad Ortiz Jr. Super Saver, sire of Letruska, has been standing at the Jockey Club of Turkey Stud Farms since 2020.

The race was held on 1800 meters on dirt track with the participation of 9 mares 4 yo and upwards. 5 year-old Letruska, trained by Fausto Gutierrez, finished the race in 1.49.15.

Bonny South (Munnings – Touch The Star / Tapit) finished the race in second place and followed by Royal Flag (Candy Ride – Sea Gull / Mineshaft) and Dunbar Road (Quality Road – Gift List / Bernardini). Daredevil’s 3 Group 1 winner daughter Swiss Skydiver (Daredevil – Expo Gold / Johannesburg) finished the race in 5th place.

Starting her racing career in Mexico, in 2018 and winning 2 Group 1 races in 2019, Letruska was also the winner of Copa Invitacional del Caribe Stakes at the Gulfstream Park, following her undefeatable victory series in 6 races.

Added Elegance Stakes, G3 Shuvee Stakes, G3 Rampart Stakes, G3 Houston Ladies Stakes are among the victories of Letruska.  She finished the G2 Azeri Stakes in second place, following Shedaresthedevil on 13 March. She then won G1 Apple Blossom Handicap and G1 Ogden Phipps Stakes.

Her latest victory was G2 Fleur de Lis Handicap. Letruska, with her Personal Ensign Stakes win, got the 4th in a row and 16 victories in total at the 21st start of her racing career.
