BATTLEGROUND Will Be in Turkey Soon!

A new stallion is coming to Turkey to stand at the Jockey Club of Turkey Stud Farms, starting from 2022 breeding season.

2 black-type winner Battleground is purchased from Coolmore Stud and its import process is currently continuing. The stallion will start to stand in Turkey in 2022.

Battleground’s sire is War Front with many G1 winners, and dam is the champion stallion Galileo’s 3 G1 winner daughter Found.

Born in 2018 and being the first progeny of G1 Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe, G1 Breeders’ Cup Turf and G1 Prix Marcel Boussac winner Found, Battleground won Chesham Stakes (Listed) during Royal Ascot, as a 2-year-old at the second start of his racing career. He won G2 Vintage Stakes at Goodwood on 28 July 2020.  His latest race as a 2 year old was G1 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf, where he reached the finish line in second place.

Racing 3 times as a 3-year-old, Battleground finished G1 St James Palace Stakes at the Royal Ascot in third place. His racing career lasted for 7 races with 2 wins and 2 placings.
